The stage is set for Shillong to host the 4th CycloBhp Downhill Racing!

Shillong Mar 9 2017: The stage is set and the pieces are moving as Shillong gears up to host the 4th edition of the CycloBhp Downhill Racing for BMX and MTB riders March 18 and 19 at 7th mile, Upper Shillong.

The racing event will be hosted by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Meghalaya and xSports and supported by Redbull India, xBhp, Psynyde Bikes, Cycling Shillong, ProCycling and many other organisations.

Downhill racing is considered an extreme sport racing where riders races over a short track involving jumps, berms, a lot of speed, crashes and sometimes injuries as well – the race being on a downhill course with steep sections requiring skills, courage and technique against the downhill terrain.

The 1st edition took place in January 2012 and since then the event has been a success which has strecthed out to its 4th edition.The organisers are hoping a huge turn-out this year as this sport is gaining alot of interest among the people of the region.This initiative is taken inorder to bring all BMX and MTB riders from the region under one platform to promote this type of sports.
