Sport: Assam boy gets direct entry to Asian Tennis Tour

The Asian Tennis Tour (ATT) which begins tomorrow will see three boys from the Northeast take part in the men's singles tournament. This is the ninth edition of the tournament and will be held at the All-Assam Tennis Association Complex.

Tennis players from all over the country will take part in the tournament. Parikshit Somani is the only Northeast player to make it into the main draw.

Minki Talom from Arunachal Pradesh however has also qualified and will open his campaign against top seed Somani who won the world ranking tournament in Malaysia.

The only other Northeast player to also participate in the men's category is wild card entry Amlan Jyoti Baruah who hails from Assam.
