Sikkim: 4th Northeast Karate Championship 2016 concludes at Gangtok

Arunachal Pradesh emerged as the champion of the 4th edition of the North East Karate Championship 2016 held here at Paljor Stadium indoor gymnasium hall. Meghalaya stood as the runners-up by leaving the host Sikkim on the third position.

The closing function of the championship was held today, which has the Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs Department, RB Subba as the chief guest and Advisor to Health Department, Dr AD Subba was present as the guest of honour & Social Worker Suresh Lama as a special guest.

The two-day long championship was organised by Sikkim State Karate-do Association [SSKA] and was participated by 280 karatekas from eight north-eastern States, Assam Rifles and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration.
