Shillong Lajong Wins Meghalaya Invitation Football Tournament 2016

SHILLONG: The Shillong Lajong Players has once again proved its superiority in the field of football in the state by winning the Meghalaya Invitation Football Tournament 2016 beating 58 Gorkha Regimental Centre by 5-0.  

Outstanding three goals by Redeem Tlang helped Shillong Lajong win the 23^rd Meghalaya Invitation Football Tournament 2016 beating 58 Gorkha Regimental Centre by 5-0 in Shillong on Saturday.

Scoring goal at 27^th minute of the games, Tlang helped Lajong to gain upper hand in the first half. In the entire match, 58 GTC seems to be struggling as Shillong Lajong stopped their opponent from reaching near goal point.

Soon after the match resume after the half time, Alen Deory scored goal at 48^th minute, while, Tlang scored goal again at 54^th and 63^rd minute.

The goal scored by Th Bipin Singh at 86^th Minute also gave enough time for Lajong to laugh.  The men in red smashed their opponent with their back to back goal in the second half.  58 GTC in blue tried their best  showing some magnificient shots to stop Lajong from winning.​
