Olympics: Hockey team to skip march-past due to jerseys not being ready

The Indian hockey team which is representing India at the Rio Olympics will not take part in the opening ceremony march past as the jerseys they are supposed to wear are not yet ready.

The hockey team is one of the big hopefuls for medals for the country but because of the kit issue, the hockey contingent will skip the march. On being informed of the issue, Sports Minister–Vijay Goel has asked officials to look into it and solve it as soon as possible.
