Olympics: Boxer Manoj Kumar wins against two time medalist

 |

Manoj Kumar, the welter weight boxer (64kg) from India won the fight against two time Olympic bronze medalist Evaldas Petrauskas of Lithuania. The underdog of the match Manoj used his long reach as much as he could and with good footwork Manoj was able to keep his opponent at bay. The final score rightly came in favour of Manoj by a split two-one decision of 29-28, 29-28, 28-29.

The Indian camp did not expect the amazing performance as his opponent was already a seasoned Olympic medalist.
Assam's Shiva Thapa will be in action today as he takes on Cuba's Robeisy Ramirez.
