Meghalaya eves beat Jammu & Kashmir by 51 runs in Women's Senior One Day Trophy

Riding on all-round performance with bat and ball, Meghalaya women’s team defeated Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) in the Women's Senior One Day Trophy (2021-22) at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata on November 4.

Winning the toss, Jammu & Kashmir asked Meghalaya to bat first. With brilliant batting from wicket-keeper Vaincy Chaudhary, who scored 84 off 120 balls and Rajni Lodhi 60 off 103 balls, Meghalaya scored 209 in 50 overs with the loss of 6 wickets.

J&K while batting, faced difficulties from the start, as they lost opener Rudrakshi Chib cheaply at the score of 5 (Run-Out), thanks to a brilliant fielding from Rajni Lodhi. J&K managed 158 in 50 overs with the loss of 7 wickets, giving Meghalaya women a memorable win.
