Meghalaya athletes win 4 gold at National Athletics Meet

SHILLONG: Another fine showing in sports by Meghalaya who has been producing athletes in a variety of sports from Muay Thai, Kickboxing etc. This time its athletics' turn as athletes from the state bring back 4 gold and 2 silver medals and 1 bronze from the recently held National Athletics Meet which took place in Guwahati.

Marso Kyndait, Lobrian Taro, Synsharlang Wahlang and Pynhun Shullet all won gold, Shullet also won a silver medal along with Maikhelsing Ramsiej. Adaris Lyngkhoi won bronze. It should be noted that Meghalaya does not have any athletics academies in the state and the great show put on by these young athletes shows how much natural talent is available in the state.
