Manipur: Former World Champion Sarita Devi to turn pro boxer

| IMPHAL: Sarita Devi, one of the most well known named boxers in the Northeast region wants to turn pro but does not want to give up the amateur tag.
This is a first for a woman boxer from the country and she will have to get the permission of the Boxing Federation of India before able to retain both tags of professional and amateur.

Sarita won bronze in the Asian Games and was also a former World Champion.
She has been a boxer for more than a decade and at 31-years of age, she now wants to try her hand at professional boxing.
