ISL: Struggling NEUFC take on Pune City tonight

 |

NEUFC's fall from grace has been hard on Northeast fans who were very optimistic at the start of the season.

The Highlanders were off to a dream start, however this optimism has been short-lived as we see them stumble all the way to second last on the table. They can still make up points to get to the top four but that would mean that Nelo Vingada's men cannot afford another another slip. The coach is resilient and believes that the team can rally together a win against Pune City later tonight.

Northeast are on a winless 6 match streak and will hope to turn things around. Their display against ATK in the last match was much better than the last few outings and an unlucky concession of a free kick at the end of the match undid their hard work as they had to settle for a point.

They take on a Pune side who has managed to crawl up from the bottom. Pune City are looking good in form with their last match being a thriller against Delhi where they won 4-3.

Northeast needs to find their form and fans will hope that their home support will help the stumbling team and give them the much needed 3 points.
