ISL: NEUFC strengthens squad with Japanese striker

Japanese striker Robert Cullen has joined NorthEast United FC. The 31 year old whose mother is Japanese and father Irish will join the Highlanders in the upcoming season of the Hero ISL which will begin tomorrow.

NEUFC take on Kerala Blasters in the opening match and with the team already losing Sasha Aneff and Fabio Neves to injury, it is expected that fan favourite Seityasen Singh will play a big part in the match. Kerala Blasters will also be without Chekiyot Vineeth and Rino Anto due to their commitments in the AFC Cup with Bengaluru FC. The last time these two clubs met, Kerala Blasters thrashed the Northeast side 4-1.
