ISL: NEUFC settle for draw against unbeaten Delhi Dynamos

NEUFC who sit on top of the table with 9 points took on unbeaten Delhi Dynamos. The Delhi side however have 2 games in hand. Northeast have had a good start to the season and have only conceded one goal so far and that too a penalty. The Highlanders have looked solid and accomplished and manage to get the very important 3 points apart from the Mumbai game.

Delhi attack right from the get go and get a corner in the 3rd minute which Northeast successfully defend. Narzary once again looks threatening in attack for NEUFC.

Delhi had the better chances in the first twenty minutes but could not find the back of the net. Katsumi gets a yellow card for stimulation. Nervy moments for Northeast in the first half as Subrata Paul is put under pressure but deals with the danger.
Nico Velez has been the best in the second half with good steals and putting the Delhi defence under pressure. The match has been very open on both sides in the first half. Delhi capitalise on a mistake by the keeper and Lewis scores in the 38th minute.

Subrata Paul redeems himself in the second half with a brilliant save in the first few minutes.

Great play by Nico Velez and Alfaro as Alfaro puts one in the back of the net in the 51st minute. Alfaro now has scored 4 goals in 5 matches. Northeast are creating chances which should have been converted. Both sides look threatening and its an uneasy match for both sides of fans in the dying minutes of the game.

The game ends 1-1 with both sides having to settle for a draw with NEUFC still on top of the table with 10 points.
