ISL: NEUFC play next game away to Pune City FC

NEUFC's next match is away to Pune City FC on Wednesday, Pune won their last match against FC Goa and currently have 3 points. NEUFC are joint top of the table with Mumbai City FC who however have a game in hand. Both NEUFC and Pune have something to prove this season as previous seasons have proved quite disappointing. So far the Northeastern side have proved strong with a very well balanced team and look solid defensively.

It is has been incredibly optimistic to see so many of the regions' players also making such a positive impact in the game. One player who has been incredible to watch is Holicharan Narzary, the 22-year-old from Assam. He has been quick on his feet and has incredible pace and has proved consistent in all the games. Although having just made his debut against Mumbai City FC, Jerry Mawihmingthanga, the 19-year-old from Mizoram showed his abilities in the few minutes he played against Mumbai City FC.

With the Northeastern side starting strong this season, fans will hope that things will only get better.
