 |

NorthEast really need a win as they have been without one in 6 matches. They take on Pune City who have no shortage of goal scorers and are in fine goal scoring form.

The first has lacked  from both sides, however Northeast did have a big chance to be one up but frantic defending by Pune saw them clear the ball away from goal. The first half has been quite uneventful with neither side having any clear cut chances. The dying minutes of half time saw Northeast with a penalty appeal which the referee refused to give. Sissoko later shoved Velez and was let off with a yellow.

The second half saw Alfaro fouled inside the box but yet again no penalty. Northeast have been unlucky so far with the match not going their way.

The first real chance in the match came from the  but luckily for Northeast, the ball hit the post. A stunning free kick by Romaric in the 81st minute finally gave the home side their much needed goal.

This was enough for the Northeast side to gather all 3 points after a long six match run of not winning any. This will definitely give fans something to cheer about.
