Free pizza for life! Domino's special treat for Mirabai Chanu after Olympic glory

Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu from Manipur, who opened the medal tally for India on July 24 by winning silver in the women's 49-kilogram category at Tokyo Olympics, will now get a chance to eat free pizza for the rest of her life. 

In an interview with NDTV after securing the first medal for the country, Chanu said, “First of all I’ll go and have a pizza. It has been a long time since I ate pizza. I was waiting for this day. Since yesterday I haven’t eaten anything. I will eat a lot today.”

It didn't long for Domino's Pizza_India to react. It tweeted, "@mirabai_chanu Congratulations on bringing the medal home! You brought the dreams of a billion+ Indians to life and we couldn’t be happier to treat you to FREE Domino’s pizza for life." 


 

Domino's further tweeted, "We never want @mirabai_chanu to wait to eat again so we’re treating her to FREE Domino’s pizza for life! #PizzasForLife  Congratulations again!!"

Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu from Manipur made India proud by securing the first medal for the country at the Tokyo Olympics, winning the silver medal in the women's 49-kilogram category. She lifted a total of 202 kilograms in the clean and jerk category.
