Football: India thrash Puerto Rico 4-1 in thrilling match

After a nervy fifteen minutes where the home side was 1-0 down to the visitors, goals from Narayan Das , Sunil Chhetri and Jeje Lalpekhlua put the Indian side on top at half time.

The second half was just as interesting and exciting as the first half and with Jackichand having missed a few chances in the first half, he scored the fourth goal for India.

Sunil Chhetri, Eugeneson Lyngdoh and Jeje Lalpekhlua have been top notch throughout the match and Arnab Mondal and Sandesh Jhingan defence are proving as solid as ever.

Coach Stephen Constantine gave many young players a chance to play towards the final few minutes with Daniel Lalhlimpuia and Seityasen coming on.

A fine showing by India who have rallied together and beat Puerto Rico 4-1. Let's hope for more fine showing by the Indian National Team.
