Football: Bengaluru FC lose out to Iraq’s Air Force Club in AFC Cup finals

Bengaluru FC fought hard in the finals of the AFC Cup as they took on Air Force Club, Iraq in Doha on Saturday. By half time, neither side had been able to break the deadlock and when coming back after the break, the tournament's top scorer Hammadi Ahmed scored a beauty in the 70th minute.

The Iraqi side were much better balanced than the Indian side as they were also physically stronger. Although, Iraq dominated the second half, the score line remained 1-0 till the end with commendable goalkeeping by Mizoram player Lalthuammawia Ralte.

Even with the loss, the Bengaluru side has won hearts not just in their own state but across the nation as all football fans tuned in to watch the historic match.
