Football: 17-year-old Indian set to play in La Liga 2

Ishan Pandita, a 17-year-old boy from Bengaluru will be the first Indian footballer to play in La Liga. The young footballer who played for U-18 side of Almeria is now slated to play for UD Almeria.

Ishan got his big break while playing in the Gothia Cup in Sweden where he was spotted by a local club IF Brommapojkarna. The following year he joined Intersoccer Madrid academy in Spain after which he secured a berth in Alcobendas CF which is the feeder club to football giants Athletico Madrid.
