Five facts on NEUFC player from Assam Holicharan Narzary
One of the players in the ISL who has been a revelation to watch especially to Northeast fans is Holicharan Narzary. The free-scoring winger who can play on either flank has become a fan favourite with everyone across the region now knowing who the youngster is. Here are some facts on the player:
- Holicharan Narzary is from Kokrajhar in Assam and it is here where he first started playing football and later on went to the SAI academy nearby.
2. He made his professional debut for Goa club Salgaoncar FC in 2011.
3. The young player made his ISL debut in its very first season playing for FC Goa.
4. The 22-year-old is in his second season with the Highlanders in the Indian Super League having signed with the Northeast side last season.
5. Holicharan made his national team debut with the senior team last year against Nepal where the home side beat Nepal 2-0 in Guwahati.
