NEW DELHI:

Ezzeldin Bahader officially holds the Guinness World Record title of being the world’s oldest professional football player.

The 75-year-old grandfather was awarded the title after he completed a full match just before his 75th birthday on Saturday.

A few of Bahader’s six grandchildren attended the match and could be heard chanting “Come on, Grandpa.”

“I dream of being able to break my record one more time, just to make the competition a little harder,” Bahader said.

We may note that 73-year-old Israeli, Isaak Hayik, had previously held the record.
