Copa America tournament kicks off; Brazil defeats Venezuela, Ecuador loses to Colombia
The Copa America tournament, governed by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) has officially kicked off this morning, June 14.
The tournament which was supposed to be jointly hosted by Argentina and Colombia has now been played in Brazil and will end on July 10. The initial plan was ripped, following the surge in coronavirus cases in Argentina.

In the second match between Colombia and Ecuador, Edwin Cardona scored the goal for Colombia in the 42nd minute, however, Ecuador could not score back against their rival. The game ended up with a 1-0 score.
