Brazilian football legend Zico praises Kokrajhar lad

ASSAM: Holicharan Narzary, spotted as a growing talent, was the center of focus in ISL 2015.  His moves and game-play impressed many. Since ISL 2016 started, it seems his performance has scaled up to some whole new level.

But getting the slightest attention from someone like Zico, the great Brazilian football legend, is the ultimate eagle's peak any Indian ISL player's dream. This Kokrajhar boy, however, has done it.

In the game against FC Goa, this NEUFC star deeply impressed Zico, especially the second assist to set up for the goal.

Zico said, "He played very well and because of it he is in the first team. When he played with us, I was very happy to give him opportunities. I just hope that he keeps playing well and wish him all the best. He had given a very nice pass for the second goal and I hope that he helps NEUFC team a lot."

Other than Zico, the Hindu news daily, in its ISL columns praised Holicharan after back to back home wins. He was also awarded emerging player in both the opening and the second game as well as a DHL winning pass' award.

Holicharan's current position among all ISL players is 54. Probably after this ISL season, Holicharan will be taken seriously by the selectors of the national team as well by offering him more opportunities. This lad from Assam could become the next football sensation of India.
