Assam: Topcem Football Tournament to be held in November

GUWAHATI: A football tournament will take place in Assam which will start tomorrow and conclude on November 27. Eight teams from all over the state vie for the title. The tournament will be hosted by Topcem Cement, a popular brand in the Northeast. Rudreswar Ajanta Club is also collaborating with the brand.

The winners of the tournament will be awarded Rs. 40,000 while the runners-up will get 25,000.

The popularity of football in the Northeast has always been undeniable and the number of tournaments coming up in every state in the region shows optimistic signs that there is a growing real interest to develop and unearth talent through local tournaments.
