Assam: Thunder forecast for India-Australia 2nd T20I in Barsapara

GUWAHATI, October 10: The weather gods are threatening to play spoilsport as Guwahati prepares to host its maiden T20 international match between India and Australia at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium here.

The Met office has forecast rain and thunderstorms for the match day, bringing a pall of gloom for the cricket enthusiasts here.

The Indian team practiced under a little drizzle at the stadium with the players engaged in dribbling the football around in friendly contest.

The Australian team was more fortunate during practice as the skies were clear as they warmed up for the match.

The days leading up to the match have also been marred by rains and storm in the evening, while sweltering heat marked the day time.
