Assam: Guwahati may be the chosen one for FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017!

GUWAHATI: A 23-member FIFA delegation will be inspecting the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, a provisional venue for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, 2017, today. It will be the second full inspection by the FIFA officials.

This visit, scheduled one year prior to the tournament, is important for Guwahati which is earlier selected as the provisional venue of the meet. If Guwahati is found to meet most of the compliances then it could be ratified as a venue for the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The delegates will start inspection from the Indira Gandhi athletic Stadium in the morning. Later they will also inspect different practice venue which included Nehru stadium, SAI Sports complex and LNIPE complex.
