Assam: 10-year-old girl from Guwahati wins gold at National Wushu Championships

GUWAHATI: Lopamudra Gohain Dev, a 10-year-old girl from Guwahati, Assam won two gold and one silver at the recently held National Wushu Championships held in Coimbatore. The youngster recently also represented India in the 6th World Junior Wushu Championships which was held in Bulgaria recently and bagged the 4th spot.

Lopamudra has made the Northeast proud and is a great example for girls who have an interest in sport. She is a student of Maria's Public School. She has received a lot of support from her school and also the Wushu associations both state and national and trains under Alpana Boro of the Wushu Association of Assam.
