4 youth from Meghalaya to represent India in 3rd Intl. Martial Arts tourny in Thailand

Four athletes from Meghalaya will be a part of the contingent representing the country in the 3rd International Martial Arts tournament to be held in Bangkok in Thailand from March 12-19.

The tournament will see a host of countries competing for the title. The four from the state will be a part of the 21 strong contingent, that also includes officials.

"We are confident of a good show and will hopefully be able to bring back glory for the country. We have prepared hard for the tournament and hope our countrymen pray for our success," said Jarmin, who along with the team left for Thailand on Sunday evening.

The young athletes had earlier brought laurels for the country in previously held tournaments and are looking for an encore this time.

International stars –Jarmin Sangma, along with Creatwind Ch Momin, Francis Majong and Lasarus Rongchang will represent the state at the games. They are a very integral part of the squad and are all from the state of Meghalaya.

The team will be led by martial artists, Bicham K Singha amd Gome Thapa who are a part of the Global International Martial Arts Federation (GIMAF).
