SHILLONG:

When Krafton officially revealed the name of the PUBG mobile successor as Battlegrounds Mobile India last week, former players all over India were ecstatic. It seems that Krafton has even more announcements this month regarding Battlegrounds Mobile India.

The game was initially announced in November after the Indian government banned Chinese apps like PUBG and Tiktok

Although PUBG is a game originally owned by Bluehole, a South Korean company, the mobile version was developed in partnership with Tencent, one of the biggest game developers in the world. After the name was revealed, speculation about the game's release went wild.

The game's pre-registration is expected to begin soon.

Ocean Sharma, a popular mobile caster and e-sports player, said in a statement to Sportskeeda Esports, "As I previously stated, there will be two major announcements in May, one of which has been made today. Also, if this was just a teaser, the trailer could arrive by the end of the month if everything goes according to plan".

Other fans, however, are much more optimistic, saying the game could release by June 10.

The game is expected to have content and features exclusive to India. Limited edition costumes and skins, seasonal events, and more are piped to come with the game.

The privacy policy released by Krafton says that minors are allowed only 3 hours on the game every day. Furthermore, they are allowed to spend only 7000 Rs. on the game, regulating the gambling aspect of the game much better.

The game is exclusive only to India and so players will not be able to play internationally with PUBG players from other countries.

PUBG was accused of misusing players' data and therefore was banned by the Indian government. To solve this, Krafton says all data will be stored locally on servers in India.
