Yet again! Mizoram postpones class 12 board exams, will resume from July

Yet again! Mizoram government has postponed the class 12 board exams in view of Covid-19 outbreak in the state. It has been decided that the examination will resume from July 1, 2020.

The Mizoram Board of School Education, MBSE, had scheduled the HSSLC examinations from, June 16, 2020, after they were postponed in April due to coronavirus outbreak and the Pan-India lockdown.

Mizoram Board of School Education had issued a notification on Tuesday stating that the remaining class 12 board exams will be held between July 1 and July 3.

The state government had imposed a complete lockdown till June 22 due to which class 12th examination were deferred. Around 4,700 students will sit for the remaining board exams.

Earlier, MBSE announced the resumption of the board examinations from April 22, which caused stiff opposition from students. The authorities postponed it following an appeal by the central government to put on hold the examinations due to the lockdown.
