Tripura’s only state university open new avenues for the GEN NEXT



The Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) University, Tripura shall now teach courses on Goods and Service Tax(GST) and other professional courses.

The Assistant Controller of Examinations, Rakesh Roy said the courses include four evening diploma courses on GST, retail and sales management, insurance risk management and Spanish language. In addition to that, two Integrated Masters Degree(IMD) commerce courses and a chemistry branch will also be introduced.

The courses in each department shall accept 60 students and the admissions are likely to commence from August 31.

While the fees for the new course are said to be costing Rs 23,000 per semester. Dr Roy is optimistic that the new courses shall create new employment avenues for the students in the state.
