Tripura woman’s grit and determination paves a new chapter in TBSE

Where there's a will there's a way, a 19-year-old married woman secures herself in the top 10 list in the Tripura Board of Secondary Education(TBSE) on Friday.
Sanghamitra Deb, a 19-year-old, who was married at 15 also a mother to a two-and-a-half-year-old son, not only passed the 12th(Arts) exams but also positioned herself in the top 10 merit list.
Mrs. Deb, who lives with her in-laws in Gandhigram town, about 10kms from state capital Agartala, scored 92 percent and secured ninth position amongst other students.
The wife of a BSF (Border Security Force) jawan Raju Ghosh, posted in Kashmir, and the daughter of a farmer said, "I studied (in) time after managing household chores and taking care of my child. My in-laws helped, of course in balancing work and study. I am very happy with the results. Now I wish to complete graduations too in this manner."
The state's overall pass percentage for this year is 80.80 percent as compared to last year, which was 80.51 percent.
