Tripura School Exams postponed for class 9th, 10th & 12th students

With the ongoing strikes in state, the Tripura Education Department has rescheduled the on-going School Exams for Class 9, Class 10 and Class 12 students on Monday.

The decision comes in the wake of a strike or a bandh called by various political parties on Monday to press for their demand of a separate statehood.

According to media reports, the TBSE or Tripura Board has announced postponement of Pre-Board Exams for Class 10 i.e. Madhyamik and Class 12 students. At the same time, the half-yearly exams of Class 9 students have also been rescheduled due to the strike.

Following the declaration of day-long strike by Tipraland State Party (TSP), the Director of Secondary Education UK Chakma issued a notice on Saturday confirming the postponement of Pre-Boards for 10th and 12th Class students and Half-Yearly Exams for 9th Class students.

The notice read "In view of the bandh called by a regional political party on 2nd December, 2019, in the TTAADC areas of the state, it is hereby decided to reschedule the following school based examinations to avoid any untoward incidents in the examination process."
