Tripura: NCERT syllabus to be followed in schools

AGARTALA, April 12, 2018: The Tripura government is planning to introduce National Council of Educational Research and Training ( NCERT) syllabus in schools to improve educational system.

The government would seek suggestions from educationists and academic experts for the possibilities.

" Despite scoring good in academics under syllabus prescribed in Left regime, the students failed to get expected jobs. We will assess scope of introducing NCERT syllabus in school-level," said Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath.

He further said that the present syllabus included personalities who are not desired and history of national heroes are missing in the curriculum after making amendment in NCERT syllabus.

"Issues related to state and region's history, geography and literature would be included in the new syllabus," the minister said.
