Tripura board reschedules Class 12 exams for Assembly polls

AGARTALA, January 21, 2018: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has re-scheduled examinations of higher secondary due to Assembly polls slated to be conducted on February 18.

The higher secondary examinations that were supposed to begin from March 5 now would start from March 8. Few other papers would be conducted in different dates too. However, there is no rescheduling of Class 10 examinations that would start from March 6.

"The Board has rescheduled the Class 12 exams due to the poll process. But the Class 10 exams would be conducted as previously scheduled," said TBSE president Mihir Kanti Deb.

This year, there would be around 55,000 Class 10 candidates and about 27,000 candidates for Class 12.

Tripura Assembly polls would be conducted on February 18. Results would be announced on March 3 and the poll process would have to be completed by March 5.
