This girl from Mizoram proves true grit matters

Coming from a humble background, a young girl from Mizoram is an inspiration amongst lakhs of students in the CBSE board exam 2020.

Vanlalvenhimi Lalfakliana, a child of a daily wage laborer, made the state proud with her achievement by obtaining 8th position in the CBSE 12th board examination results.

Many people expressed their happiness and Union Minister Jitendra Singh took to Twitter to congratulate on the success.

"#NewNortheast: Vanlalvenhimi Lalfakliana, daughter of a daily wage earner, from Aizwal, #Mizoram has made everyone proud by securing 8th position in class 12th board examinations, despite coming from a humble background. My best wishes for her bright future," Singh tweeted.

In the CBSE results declared on July 13, the first position was secured by Divyanshi Jain from Lucknow, also a daughter of a shopkeeper and whose mother is a home-maker, with a total score of 600/ 600.

There were over 11 lakh students, who appeared for the 12th exams with a total pass percentage of 88.78%
However, CBSE reported that the toppers list were not up due to the inconvenience because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
