Odisha to promote all students from classes I to VII

BHUBANESHWAR:

The Odisha Government, on Wednesday, announced that it would promote all students from classes I to VII without them having to appear for their promotion exams for the 2020-21 academic session.

According to sources, the Odisha School and Mass Education Department came up with the decision following the shutdown of schools during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Concerning their adjustments to their new academic sessions, the government has planned to conduct remedial classes for the first two to three months.

Reportedly, the announcement will affect all the government-aided and private schools under the School and Mass Education Department.
