Manipur: JNIDS Imphal receives permission to continue BDS courses for 2020-21

IMPHAL | SEPT 08, 2020:

Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Dental Sciences (JNIDS), Imphal has been granted permission to continue Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course for the year 2020-2021 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW).

According to a notice issued by MOHFW, JNIDS is among the 14 institutes in the country to have been allowed to continue BDS Courses for the academic year 2020-2021.

The JNIDS has been functioning since 2018 with an intake of 50 students every year and there would be no change in the intake of students this year too.

The admission for the next batch of students for the year 2021-2022 for the BDS course shall be made only after an approval given by the central government.

Manipur already has a dental college in Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) that functions directly under MOHFW.

The JNIDS is an institute that comes under the Health Department of the Government of Manipur.
