Assam: Medical student goes missing on his way to Bangladesh

GUWAHATI, December 20, 2017: In a shocking incident, a medical student who hailed from Assam went missing on his way to Bangladesh.

The student identified as Sahab Uddin Ahmed had been allegedly missing from Cooch Behar, West Bengal, as stated by his parents and is a third year MBBS student studying at Dhaka East West Medical College and hails from Monakusa village of Barpeta district. The incident took place when he was on his way to Bangladesh.

Ahmed Parent's stated that he last talked with them over phone while staying overnight at a hotel in Cooch Behar. The next day he was suppose to travel to Indo-Bangladesh border.

Later, his parents were unable to contact him as his phone was found off. They immediately went to Cooch Behar and informed the police. The family and the locals suspect that Ahmed has been kidnapped by some miscreants. A gloomy atmosphere has prevailed in the region.

The complaint has been lodged at Kolgochia police station and they will be probing on the matter.
