Late PA Sangma was once a BJP Supported Presidential Nominee but as always he remained a secular leader convicted towards his own ideology.After becoming the MP yet again from Tura in 2014 under the NPP , he spoke in one of his last speeches about his disappointment over the intolerance debate and Ghar wapsi controversy appealing to the Prime Minister to reign in extremist Right Wing elements in the government.
