Tripura: Major blow to IPFT and Congress as prominent leaders join BJP

In a major body blow to IPFT and Congress ,prominent leaders have left the party to join the saffron brigade.

The youth president of IPFT led by its president Pabitra Jamatia , working president David Murasingh, were welcomed in the party by BJP Tripura state in-charge Sunil Deodhar and president Biplab Kumar Deb.

Recently David Muransing had attended a programme an NGO headed by Sunil Deodhar in Delhi leading to speculations that he would leave the party.

A team of Congress including senior leader Debabrata Koloi also joined the saffron party. Koloi was also a former MLA and chief executive member of TTAADC. He was the General Secretary of the state Congress.

"Along with the senior youth leaders, total 20 youth members of IPFT and 15 others including Congress men today joined saffron party. We welcome them to be work united to eradicate the Left Front," Biplab Deb said.

It is expected that state congress women's leader Monihar Deb Barma will also quit the party along with other members in the next few days.

The inept leadership of Birajit Sinha has been questioned by many Tribal leaders including those who are seen close to the working president Pradyot Manikya Deb Barma  .

The IPFT has also been dealt a body blow but party insiders are saying that David Murasing was placed under observation after his suspicious activities for the last few months with anti social elements.
