Manik Sarkar is at loggerheads with civil aviation minister despite the central ministers innovative ideas to make tripura airport as one of the most vibrant hubs in the northeast.

The Tripura CM has said that there will be no private players interested in investing in the state airport like other airports and dismissed the civil aviation ministers proposal for a PPP model .

Manik Sarkar wants 300 crores and prefers the State government should not allow Private companies come into this sector said one Civil Aviation ministries.

The CM also shockingly has rejected the services of Air Ambulance in case of emergency as he thinks this is a waste of money said the official.

Many in the centre are bewildered at the attitude of the Communist state government in Tripura as according to them the Chief Minister is living in another era.

It seems like the ideology of the communists have taken precedence over development and modernisation for the second most busiest airport in the region.
