The BJP has thrown their weight behind incumbent Chief Minister Pema Khandu who was suspended by his own party along with the deputy CM Chowna mein last night by the PPA.
In a clear statement Tapir Gao who is the State BJP President said 'At 5 pm today, Pema Khandu led NED Alliance government has 47 MLAs. So no question of any instability whatsoever,'
Tapir Gao statement gains significance as the BJP has been firmly supporting the Pema Khandu government in the Assembly .
It is believed that Pema Khandu and his close legislators have been in talks to official move over to the saffron front much to the discomfort of the regional party
