Meghalaya:Conrad’s huge win will lead to trouble for Mukul Sangma in coming Days

With a huge win likely for NPP candidate and son of late PA Sangma , the position of Mukul Sangma as the CM of Meghalaya will be an uphill task.Another significant development is the arrival of an BJP government in Assam with the bete noire Himanta Biswa Sarma at the helm (though its likely Sarbananda Sonawal will be the Chief Minister) there will be attempts to destabilise the Congress government in Meghalaya.

It is well know from the past that HBS has never been in the best books of Mukul Sangma and vice versa.With Conrad personally inflicting defeat to Dikkanchi Shira this defeat will be a huge setback.

Many skeptics are bewildered why Mukul chose his wife to stand against Conrad Sangma as there was likely that the NPP Candidate would have got sympathy votes after the untimely demise of the Late PA Sangma.

Many are terming this as a huge miscalculation on the part of the CM.

With Arunachal Pradesh going BJP way and now Assam it looks likely that Meghalaya could see troubled days ahead.
