Manipur:Ibobi Singh Bihar visit for Nitish Swearing in a slap for Pappu Yadav

 |

Manipur chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh will be attending the swearing-in ceremony of Nitish Kumar led new government in Bihar.

Ibobi Singh who is leading a Congress government in Manipur for the third term will be leaving Imphal tomorrow to attend the function as invited by Nitish Kumar, according to sources in Manipur Chief Minister's secretariat.

Nitish Kumar will be sworn in at Gandhi Maidan in Patna at 2 PM on November 20.

Earlier former CM's like Omar Abdullah have also confirmed that they would grace the occasion .

The Bihar Elections are seen as a landmark judgement where Nitish Kumar was able to stop the Narendra Modi juggernaut by romping home against the same party which had wiped his Janata Dal (U) just a year ago in the Lok Sabha polls.

Ibobi presence in Patna is also seen as a Rebuke to Pappu Yadav , the estranged relative of Laloo Yadav and a trouble rouser .It maybe mentioned that  before the election in Bihar he had openly stated that he would drag out people from Manipur from trains when it passed through Bihar if attacks on people of Bihari origin in Imphal did not stop .It is understood that at that time the Congress party had spoken to the Chief Minister in Bihar, Nitish Kumar assuring that all lives and safety of people from the state would be secured and communal harmony maintained.

All in All Ibobi Singh's visit to Patna is seen just more than an attendance for a swearing in Ceremony but more than what meets the eye.
