Manipur:CCTV Footage identifies immigration officer in the Monika Khangembam case

In a late development CCTV Footage have helped identify the Immigration officer who had allegedly quizzed Monika Khangembam and allegedly behaved in a high handed manner.

Reports coming from sources suggest that the officer has been identified and Footage is being examined .Unconfirmed Sources also suggest that the footage of the officer questioning Monika is significantly longer than most other passengers.

It maybe mentioned that on her Facebook wall, Khangembam wrote that when she went to the immigration desk at IGI at around 9 pm on Saturday, an official looked at her passport and said, "Indian toh nahi lagti ho" (you don't look Indian).

He then allegedly smirked at her and asked her how many states comprised the country, in an apparent bid to "know her Indianness".

"I said I was really getting late and he goes like, 'aircraft aapko chodke kahi nahi jaa rahi. Aaram se jawab do'" (the aircraft isn't leaving without you. You can answer at ease).
