Is 2016 a bad omen for earthlings?
The year 2015 ended on a bad note, we had to digest the news about the death of the most influential rocker in the history of Rock N' Roll, Lemmy Kilmister. He died on December 27th 2015. It was an uber moment of sadness which we thought would pass but we opened the New Year with more despair, more influential celebrities passed away such as David Bowie, Glenn Frey, Jimmy Bain, Alan Rickman and more, the list of names keep piling up.
If this doesn't affect a whole lot of people, remember the Manipur quake that happened on January 4th? It claimed lives and was very destructive. So, we opened the New Year in fear, a bad sign to open a New Year with destruction.
Before that, there was a terror attack on January 2nd at the Pathankot Air Force Station, part of the Western Air Command of the Indian Air Force. In this terror attack a total of six terrorists, seven security forces and one civilian were killed. The attacked was carried out by suspected Islamic terrorist group, Jaish-e-Mohammed
And the most recent nightmare, the Brussels attack that claimed over 30 lives. The Brussels attack was a terror act carried out by ISIS. It occurred at the International airport and at the metro station. It was a series of bombing, two at the latter and one at the former. It is considered to be the deadliest act of terrorism in the history of Belgium.
Surely we must also consider the incessant war in Syria, Iraq and other middle-eastern countries. The growing terror spread by ISIS gets everyone jumping out of their chairs as they are spreading and have scattered to every part of the world, according to a verse from the Bible, Isaiah 60: 1-2, "… See, darkness covers the earth
and thick darkness is over the peoples…"
According to Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of famous evangelist Billy Graham, who recently released a prophetic warning for the year 2016 says, "I have been repeatedly warned in my spirit that my enemy is advancing… "
All these terror attacks, natural disasters, natural deaths aren't the only aspect that sum up as bad omens for people of earth in 2016, but it's also the rising criminal cases that ordinary men carries out. Man is his is own destruction, he will bring destruction upon himself and it's just disheartening to realise that Shillong which was once a safe place for women has become all of a sudden unsafe.
An omen is a phenomena that is believed to foretell the future. Omens are omens, people will make predictions every day, like the woman who predicted the fall of the twin towers but most of these predictions are just false assumptions. I made a prediction that England would win the final of the world T20 cup (Cricket), well that didn't come true.
Man is his own downfall, he is responsible for his own destruction. Omens are messages interpreted because of the current situation and by the looks of it, we are our own end, we have created our own abyss unless we change.
Recently just a few days back we experienced an earthquake of 6.9 on Richter Scale, what's more to come? Isn't it odd that all of a sudden things seem to have gone completely out awry.
