Conrad Sangma wins Tura Bypolls by 191,000 votes visits Late PA Sangma grave as a mark of respect

After a huge victory the son and the new MP Conrad Sangma has visited his fathers resting place and payed respected to the great leader .

Conrad Sangma defeated Chief Minister's Mukul Sangma's wife Dikkanchi Shira in a direct contest by a huge margin .The BJP had decided to stay away from contesting as a tribute to the late leader who was also the BJP's presdential nominee .

NPP got  327000 while the INC 136000 Conrad according to sources has won  by 191000 votes which is a huge victory.

While Sympathy wave was clearly there for the junior Sangma it is also thought that personal attacks by the ruling party went against the congress party.
