Assam:Himanta’s blue eyed boy Pijush Hazarika lead Assam polls

Once Himanta Biswa Sarma was considered as the blue eyed boy of Tarun Gogoi but after the leader left the party in a huff HBS as he is popularly known took his own handpicked leaders many who were from the youth Congress.

None were bigger than Pijush Hazarika who was once the Youth Congress president of the state of Assam.

Pijush Hazarika this time contested from Jagir road and is most likely to become the MLA from the constituency.Personally targeted for being too close to HBS by the Gogoi leadership Pijush,he even accused the Chief Minister of tapping his phone despite being a Congress legislator, Pijush loyally followed his leader to the BJP.

Life may have come full circle for Pijush Hazarika as he leads by a huge margin against his Congress candidate Bibekananda Dalai .
