Assam: Shiva Thapa could become a crorepati if he wins gold in Rio

Shiva Thapa could become the next big name if he does what he knows best ……that is winning .With major groups like Adani,Anglian medal hunt and even the Assam State Government giving this pugilist from Assam a helping hand ,Shiva has now a serious chance of being the most marketable boxer from India.

While the country went gaga over Haryana boxer Vijender Singh ,Shiva Thapa has been silently rising up the ranks in the boxing world.

Signed by Anglian Medal Hunt whose parent company had invested heavily in Shillong Lajong ,Shiva Thapa also got a fillip when the Assam government assured the boxer of 10 lakhs and if he gets gold then a whopping one crore .

Shiva Thapa is ranked 3rd in the bantamweight category in the AIBA Men's World Ranking. He is the third Indian to clinch Gold at the Asian Games. Shiva Thapa is a strong contender for India for the 2016 Olympics.
