Another blow to GNLA ,Self style sergeant surrenders after being hounded by Meghalaya Police

In a huge blow to the GNLA ,another of its key member "self-styled sergeant"  Ajan Momin,  alias Jimmy today surrendered before the superintendent of police East Garo Hills Davies Marak.

Jan who is 32 years old did not come empty handed when he surrendered and handed over an AK47 Rifle along with 86 rounds of ammunition and also a wireless set .

Ajan will most likely get the benefit of surrender policy by the state government stated the police officials.

Over the last few months relentless operation by the police under the instruction of the state government has started to yield result say sources .Just last week there was another surrender of another key GNLA Member .

On October 1, a cadre of the outfit was shot dead near Dawa Nengjata village under Williamnagar police station, where Ajan and Sohan were also present.Ajan also stated that Sohan Shira was active and still handling operations on the ground but added that conditions had become terrible for the cadres ,many of whom wanted to return to a life of normalcy.
